Happy New Year

I've been in suck a funk lately.  Absolutely no motivation to create.  Thankfully, this weekend the creativity was really flowing.
I had a lot of stamped images stored away for another day, including these fun gnomes from MFT.
It all started with the LOVE die. I had eyed it for a while, a finally bought it on my last shopping spree.
I cut a piece MFT Shiny silver cardstock down and cut the LOVE out
For the first card, I cut strips of pink and blue cardstock and glued them down to horizontal A2 card.  Then placed the negative die-cut over the top.
The second card I cut the die 2 more time out of white cardstock and glued them all together for dimension.  I used the negative as a template and glues it down.
I colored the gnomes using copic markers in pink (RVs)  and blue (Bs) and fussy cut them out.
Hopefully, I can keep this mojo going strong.   I felt so good to create

Break time is over

The last few months have been extremely difficult.  I started this blog on January 6 by celebrating my wonderful mothers birthday, and yesterday I mourned the 2 month anniversary of her death.  I miss her everyday.

Two for Tuesday

This is the second installment of two for Tuesday where I use the same stamp or die on 2 different cards.
This week I'm using MFT Floral Focus stamp set.

For this first card I colored the flowers in monochromatic shades and cut it out using the coordinating die cut.  I then added a little bit of color for contrast to the card base.

On this next card, I stamped the same image with Inkon3 fadeout ink onto watercolor paper and  used my Kuretake Gansai watercolors.
   Enjoy your week.

Cup of Cheer

I'm slowly and I mean slowing, opening my new purchases from the holidays.
Today I'm using a couple sets from my MFT purchase.
i stamped ALM Love You a Latte  with Memento black tuxedo ink and colored her with Copic markers.  Then I taped off a section on my cardstock and blending Catherine Pooler ink in Fiesta Blue and Garden Party.
I finished off by stamping the sentiment from LLD Hug in Mug and adding colored jewels in blue and green.
